Born in 1967 on a sheep and wheat farm in central New South Wales, Monique's childhood was filled with every animal she could find and coloured pencils! A well behaved child, her only repeated offence was starting her art career on her bedroom walls.
At 18 she packed her bags and moved to Sydney to study graphic design. At 23 she moved to the Gold Coast and introduced her art to the world through her chalkart. Self taught and always looking for a challenge, Monique and her family developed their own black paint and chalks to create absolutely BEAUTIFUL smudge proof chalkart. Monique's unique style is recognised all over the world.
In 2000 Monique opened the world's first chalkart school. Over 1000 students have attended her courses over the years. many starting their own successful business.
Many of Monique's students have found their own wonderful artistic skills, thanks to Monique's passion for art and people.
